Beautiful shot. Looks like a great time in a great spot.
Wow...just looked at your California collection. What a wonderful set of photos! Great nature vistas, I love the squirrel with full cheeks, and lots of very creative photos -- I really liked the person on the railroad track with the reflection in the shiney rail and the three long shadows.
I loved California, it was probably one of my most enjoyable trips ever. if you ever get the chance to go to Joshua Tree and Yosemite, you should.. both totally worth it. and really cheap to stay in the park in these cool tents/small buildings... just maybe don't go in September... it's a bit cold at night!
I was walking on the track and decided I was going to take the shot i did.. so i get it all set up, set the timer, and hear something in the background..it was the train!! What a perfect time for it! If i was to keep walking forward there was a huge bridge in front of me... it was probably like 13-ish stories in the air and then a huge river...i could feel the track start to vibrate under my feet... the camera snapped, i grabbed it and ran back into the woods just in time... it almost was a "Stand by Me" movie moment... me running from the train over a bridge and having to jump for my life... almost!
Great work.
